Happy This Week

My BFF and her family came over last Friday night. We had very strong margaritas and laughed a lot. Is there any better way to spend a Friday night?

We were snowed in all last weekend (including Friday!) and didn’t go back to school until Wednesday (Thursday for Matt and the kids)! The time off is nice, of course, but we’d honestly all rather be in school!

There isn’t much better than, when one of your students gets their braces off, you’re the first person they come and show their new teeth to. And that it’s a boy. I’m like everyone’s school Mom. 🙂

When we all got back to school on Wednesday, many of my kids said they missed me and my class. That always does a heart good.

I love my job.

We had Olivia’s IEP meeting on Wednesday and it went very well. We are so blessed to be in a district where everyone is top-notch. She is in good hands! I love listening to them talk about her wonderful sense of humor; it’s obvious that they all adore her. What more could I ask for?

I beat Matt at chess two times in a row! That’s unheard of over here. I felt like a champion!

What made you happy this week?
