Everyone went back to school after 23 days off!! We are all exhausted…but we made it!
I was glad to be back at work. I love my job. I missed sleeping in…but I love my job.
Gabe and Matthew started soccer this week. I’ve missed watching them play. I’m enjoying watching them play basketball, but clearly our family’s first love is soccer.
Olivia had a great first week back to school. She’s such a trooper! I thought it would be a lot rougher for her than it was. Last night, as we were getting ready to go to Gabe’s game at 7:45, she looked and me and said “What?? But I’m soooo tired!” Like, listen crazy lady, it’s bed time!
I went with one of my best friends last Saturday and got a pedicure! She had a gift certificate and asked if I wanted to join her…so I did! It was nice to catch up and have pretty toes at the same time.
One of my sorority sisters sent Olivia a care package with some stuffed animals that her girls didn’t play with anymore. Isn’t that sweet? Olivia was so excited to get mail…and stuffed animals!
I watched Her this week. Have you seen it? It’s very heartbreaking and unique. I can’t say I liked it because I thought it was a very depressing movie…but I did like it because I’ve never seen anything like it. Have you seen it? What did you think?
We also watched Dallas Buyers Club. The acting is phenomenal, Jared Leto especially. I wouldn’t have even known that was him! The movie was really good. I forgot what a scary time it was when the AIDS epidemic first started. Matthew Mcconaughey has always been one of my favorite actors to look at, but I never thought of him as a good actor. He is wonderful in this movie. He definitely deserved that Oscar nod!
We have a three day weekend!
What made you happy this week?
I just saw August: Osage County. Talk about depressing….But the most amazing acting! Meryl Streep & Julia Roberts were amazing. They all were really. But so dark. Need a comedy now!
I need to catch up on all of the Oscar movies. Dallas Buyer’s Club definitely looks as if it will be a compelling movie. I loved M.M’s speech at the Globes.
Have a great weekend, Tiffany.
YOU!!! You made me happy! I had so much fun relaxing with you! I may have to become a pedicure/manicure girl just to make sure we hang out more often! 🙂
Matthew Mcconaughey has always been one of my favorites, too. I need to see that movie ASAP. He and Woody Harrelson are doing a tv show right now called True Detective that I’m dying to watch.
