Hi!! I know I’m a little late to the “this-was-what-Christmas-looked-like-at-our-house” party…but I’ve just not been in the mood to blog. I’m sure every blogger who has been at it as long as I have will tell you that, periodically, we go through slumps where we just don’t feel like writing. I have 1,000 blog posts in my head, but just don’t feel like writing them down. I honestly think my body and brain truly needed these last two weeks to just veg out and hang with the family. It’s been delightful. Now, thanks to the Blizzard of ’14, we will be home for at least two more days. I’m trying to get myself back into work and blogging mode. But it isn’t easy after two full weeks of staying up until midnight and sleeping in until 8:30. I’m usually on my 2nd class by 8:30!!
Buddy enjoyed his last week with us. I was a little creatively challenged the last week and was glad to have Gabe as my assistant to help me out.
This was one of the best ones Gabe came up with. He’s like MacGyver with how he uses weird items to make something. Buddy was feeling the Christmas cookie bulge and decided he needed a good workout.
I guess Buddy was feeling a little dirty because he took a shower!!! Olivia loved the towel on his head. She loves it when I get out of the shower with a towel on my head.
It was hide-and-seek time the next day…it took forever for the kids to find him here! Does that mean they didn’t eat? Hmmm…I told you I’ve had my nose in a book.
This was my idea…but Gabe executed it because I couldn’t figure out how to make him sit up straight in it. Isn’t it cute? A little whimsical fun for Buddy.
The gift of a Christmas shave…guess he was feeling a little un-manscaped.
He played tic-tac-toe with Barry Bee the next night.
Before we knew it, it was time to catch a ride with Santa on Christmas Eve. Maybe Buddy will be back this summer to check on the kids!
Christmas was wonderful. We were able to spend time with our families and had most of Christmas day to ourselves. The kids received lots of good presents and were happy to see happy faces for the gifts they gave as well.
How was your Christmas?
I love that Gabe helps with buddy!! He’s getting so mature.
