Happy This Week — Matthew Edition

This week’s happy is all about Matthew…because he turns 8 years old today!!!

He was the happiest baby in the whole world and still is the happiest guy today. I love that he is always in a good mood and always happy.

He bounces around like Tigger. The only time he stops moving is if he’s sleeping.

He has lots of tiny freckles across his nose. He also has a chin dimple and a dimple right by the left corner of his mouth. How cute is that?

He LOVES girls. His best buddies are girls and he’s the first to notice if there are any cute girls around.

Even though it drives me bonkers at times, he’s a total ditz. He’s just a total dingbat. It’s pretty endearing. Unless you’re trying to get out the door!

He still gives me kisses and hugs. Just not out in public.

We’re having a Spongebob party on Saturday!

He misses me in the morning.

He loves to read books with me.

He sometimes seems as though he exists on air but give him pizza and he’ll eat us all under the table.

He likes to watch the same TV shows and movies over and over and over. So do I!

We have a rule that if you fart at the dinner table, you have to clean up. Guess who cleans up almost every day? He forgets the rule every day!!!!

All of a sudden, he totally “gets” soccer. He’s a beast out on the field full of confidence. It’s fun to watch him come into his own.

He worships Gabe and adores Olivia. He’s such a good little brother.

I can remember seeing him for the first time on the ultrasound and being so extremely happy to be having a boy. I remember dropping off Olivia and Gabe at pre-school on my way to the hospital to have him. I have soaked up and enjoyed every second of this little man’s life!

He is my baby, he is precious, he is wonderful and he’s all mine!

Happy 8th birthday, Matthew! You sure make me happy!!!
