Wanna See My Room?

I’ve been working so hard to get ready for school. The most fun part is decorating my room! There’s not too much you can do to make a junior high classroom look perfect…but you can certainly make it cuter!

I went in all day today and finished making copies for the first week and worked on lesson plans. I have two work days left this week so I’m feeling like I’m off to a good start. (Knock on wood!) Now school needs to start so I can meet my students because that’s what I am most excited for!

I have something super cute to share with you later this week in my Happy post. I forgot to take a picture of it today!

The front…

This is what the students see when they walk in…

The weekly calendar at the back…thanks to my friend Nichole for making the words for me!

This is the right of my room…and at first I wanted those shelves gone…but they’re very handy!

This is the back of my room with the gigantic, long and skinny bulletin board that I don’t know what to do with. I think I’ll let the kids decide? The little board is for student of the week, newspaper stories about my kids, etc. Way to go stuff!

So, if you were an 8th grader, would you feel loved and inspired when you walked in? Remember my happy, excited face will also be there to greet you!!
