P!NK…duh!!! It was the most incredible concert I’ve ever been to and probably will ever go to. Except for when I go see her again!! The best part was that it was so intimate for being in such a large venue. I felt like we were friends, hanging out, listening to music and dancing. Except for one of the friends was an AMAZING ROCK STAR! I also loved that she was having a blast. You could tell this was her calling and she was so happy to be doing it for a living. I loved that.
While I was at the concert, I kept thinking a few things. One, this is amazing. Two, I wish I had been born with the ability to sing and dance because I think I would make an awesome rock star. Three, I can’t wait until I’m back to a point in my life when I am so happy with what I do for a living. I miss that feeling. Four, I think I want my hair like hers. Shaved on the side and long on top. But then, see #2, I’m not a rock star. Five, how on earth does she get abs like that??
I can’t wait to see her again! I had a blast with my new friend that I went with too…double dream hands!! Here are a few pictures from the night. As you know, it’s hard to get great pics at dark concert with a phone camera!
My Mom is dating. Can you believe it?? I won’t talk about it too much here because I’m sure she would die of embarrassment. BUT, I had to tell you all because I’m SO excited for her. She put herself out there and she’s enjoying it. I’m so proud of her!!! I’m not sure I could have done the same.
My Mom’s dog had surgery last week and we were afraid it was cancer. But it’s not!!! My Mom and I were on pins and needles all day waiting for the results. I am so thankful that she’s ok!!
Even though I was only gone for less than 24 hours, it was so nice to know I was missed by my kids and my husband. That’s a wonderful feeling, isn’t it?
We got rid of cable this week. I am the only one that’s a major DVR and TV watcher. I expected to really miss it and want it back. It’s been almost a week and I don’t really miss it. Thank goodness for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon…and I haven’t paid for anything yet!!! I’m surprised at how much I don’t miss it.
Matt and I have date night tonight…thanks Mom! I am so looking forward to spending time with just my hubby.

I honestly think you should go for the rock star hair cut. Every time I try something new and daring, like getting my nose pierced, I end up loving it so much that I’m mad at myself for not doing it sooner! You’d look awesome. PS you’re elastamom–you ARE! a rockstar, duh!

Love that this post was about you. Sometimes as a mom it’s so easy to not think about yourself as a separate entity. That being said, I vote you go for the rockstar haircut!!! Do it in the summer and if you don’t want to be a rockstar at work you can grow it out by the Fall 🙂

you totally look like a rock star! and i’ve thought several times about cutting off our cable. i’m very much over it….especially the hefty bill we have each month courtesy of our satellite provider. it’s really ridiculous to pay that much when we only watch maybe 6 channels. i wish we could just have a package that included ESPN, food network, HGTV, and a couple of others. and pay about $15 a month 😉
You have a lot to be happy for this week! Yay for your mom (and her dog)! I am so jealous — I love Pink. I love how Pink music makes me feel like I can kick some A! Have another awesome week and btw, you are a rock star!
