Matthew has never been a confident swimmer and was scared of the water for years. He’s no swimming a length of the pool on his front…and his back. He even asked how you join the swim team!! I love seeing his little arms do freestyle and backstroke.
Olivia’s been a real stinker lately. Too much birthday and pre-teen angst, I guess. Matt made a “Princess Pledge”: Princesses are never, ever mean. Princesses never, ever hit. Princesses never, ever pick (their skin). She is afraid of his “mean voice” so if you’re not following the Princess Pledge, the King will yell. It’s working!
This video just warmed my heart so much. I feel like every kid and every parent should have to watch this to see what real sportsmanship is like. Amazing.
I was able to have coffee with a dear friend this week. Friend time always makes me happy!
Matt and I had date night on Thursday. We ate dinner at home and went grocery shopping. Lame, I know. But it was nice just to be alone!
We are having a family fun night with friends tonight and I can’t wait. I’ve been looking forward to it all week.
Gabe has his second basketball game tomorrow. He is actually really good. I love watching him play sports!
Guess who I get to see on Tuesday? P!NK!!!!!!!!!!! Only 4 more days!!!!
What made you happy this week?
Still bragging about that P!nk concert ;o) I am sooooo jealous. I love the Princess Pledge! Great idea. It was great seeing you this week. We need to do it again soon! Love ya!
The Princess Pledge is an awesome idea! Love it!

So much happiness! I love the Princess Pledge idea, that rocks! I watched the video…LOVE IT..made me cry happy tears! Hey as long as you and Matt enjoyed yourself’s that’s all that matters and I’m jealous, PINK?!?
You will love Pink. She loves her fans and really expresses her gratitude during the show. Have fun!
So jel that you get to see Pink!! Have a blast! Going solo or a date for you and Matt?
Woke up with a migraine this morning, and my husband got ice packs for my head and promised to go to work for an hour, then come back and get J. up and ready for school. He did! And once she was picked up, he sat on the couch with me while I had a cup of coffee. This is a man who doesn’t ever sit still (he eats dinner standing up and helping J.!) I would love to have this all the time (minus the migraine), but then I’d be totally spoiled.
I’m so excited for you that you get to see Pink! I know you love her and I always think of you when I hear her in the radio. I hope you have a great time (and write to tell us all about it).
🙂
