I’m not gonna lie…it’s been a rough week for me. But guess what? I still found some happy. How about you?
I learned how to use Instagram!!
My front porch Halloween/Fall decorations make me happy every time I pass them by. I love decorating for holidays. I wish I had more money and time to do more!
I seriously have such a wonderful support system. My Mom brought me a coffee this week, my friend Nicki brought me brownies with a super sweet note, my friend Stephanie called me to tell me there’s a new Pigeon (Mo Willems anyone?) book out and my new friend Jen brought me these beautiful mums and a pumpkin spice latte. How awesome is that?
We had dinner at my BFF’s last weekend. I absolute cherish my time with her and her family. I feel so lucky to have them all in my life. She texted me later that night to relay a conversation between her two youngest:
M: “The Townsends are like…pretty much my favorite people ever.”
J: “Yeah, me too!”
That made me ridiculously happy! Not only is she my bestie, but so is her entire family!
Olivia is now walking from the garage all the way to the bus at the end of the driveway each morning…alone! Isn’t that amazing?? I simply stand back and watch my girl go.
My oldest boy came back from a bike ride with the most beautiful rose…just for me. I don’t want to know whose garden he stole it from.
Explaining tampons to Matthew this weekend was totally hilarious and, even though it was weird, made me happy. I’m so happy he’s so comfortable with me. It all started when we used the family bathroom together at JCPenney…and he saw the machine. The greatest part was he thought we went up to the machine and it took the blood out! HA!
Our annual trip to the apple orchard. It was a perfect, gorgeous day for picking apples and pumpkins…and eating donuts!
My husband loves me so much it’s ridiculous. Ridiculously wonderful. I’m so thankful for him every single day. Every day. I don’t know what I’d do without him. He is my happy.

I’m with you on the decorating. If I had the time and money, I’d change porch decorations each month/holiday. Alas, I’m not rich in time or money. But like you, I am rich in love. In the end, we are the lucky ones.
That sounds like an awesome week. He stole you a rose! How cute is that? Of course, I’ll take issue on one little thing. YOU’RE decorated already! What? Why?! Ah! Sorry, I give sh*t to people I love and decorate early and then make my kids cry because I won’t.
The rose had me cracking up! Keegan is a flower thief too – always with his heart in the right place 😉 I so wanted to join you this week for Happy but the days got away from me with party planning and cake decorating. But all of that was the bulk of my happy – I love making birthdays special for my guys 🙂
