Where on EARTH did September go??? Here’s what made me happy this crazy, busy week.
Matthew’s skull party was a huge success. He enjoyed every minute of being in the spotlight.
Tomato soup made from tomatoes from my garden. Super, duper yummy!!
Fall weather is here in Ohio. Hooray!!!
I’m tutoring my nephew in Calculus and it is so fun. He’s 18 and a freshman in college and we don’t get to spend a lot of time together, so I’m really enjoying my weekly sessions with him. He’s an awesome kid. (And I happen to really like Calculus. Nerd alert!)
The fundraiser that I’m co-chair of for my kids’ school will be over today and that makes me so happy!!!
Olivia and Matt were playing chase at the park. Olivia ran away and yelled really loudly “Come and get me you horse’s ass!” Thanks, Home Alone.
I was at the kids’ school during Matthew’s lunchtime so I went in to say hello. All the kids ran up and gave me hugs. That is the best. When we were talking about it that night, Matthew said “Why do the kids like you so much?” Gabe rolled his eyes and said “Duh! Because she’s awesome!”
Soccer, soccer and more soccer. The boys are playing really well and it’s really entertaining to watch.
I had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season. Heaven in a cup.
What made you happy this week?
Amongst other things that made me happy this week… You and your beautiful daughter- love the “Horses Ass!”, and god love home alone š family favorite here too! What makes me in awe is how YOU are who you are, and that adds to my happy š Here’s to another great week (my personal fav, although I do enjoy pumpkin spice latte is the salted caramel mocha- double yum!). Good luck with the stride today!
“Duh, because she’s awesome!” How wonderful is that quote? I love, love, love that your son said that about you. That right there is something you can pull out of your memory box whenever the voices in your head tell you you aren’t amazing. You ARE awesome because Gabe said so and he wouldn’t have said it if it weren’t true.
My happiness this week: Come frome a very cuddly Alyssa and an Olviia who tells her dad things like, “I wasn’t talking to you! I was talking to Mom. You need ot mind your own business!”
Haha…horse’s ass is hilarious. Oh and the thought of tomato soup from home-grown tomatoes is heavenly.
Such a great week for you! And Gabe is right you are AWESOME!!
