There was so much happy this week even though my major source of happy was missing!
4 days without children. Yes, you read that right. My Mom took Matthew and Olivia from Sunday evening until Thursday at lunch time. Gabe was at camp. Matt and I had 4 days to ourselves!! We didn’t go anywhere (spent all our dough on sending Gabe to camp!) but we did have a wonderful time just being alone here.
The Dark Knight. Matt and I went and saw in on Tuesday at 1 p.m. because you can do things like that when your kids are away. It was an amazing movie. Amazing! I’m going to go see it again with Gabe and my Mom when he gets home from camp.
Sleeping in. It’s amazing how much I can sleep when I’m allowed!
Ice cream for dinner.
Knowing that my boys love, love, love each other. Matthew cried when Gabe left and he cried before bed last night because he misses his brother so much. Now that’s love.
Olivia falling asleep while I was brushing her teeth last night. She had A TON of fun at Grandma’s!!!
My new car. I love my new car. It’s sick how much I love my new car.
The Olympics. I have loved them since I was a little girl and that hasn’t changed one bit! They’ve been amazing, haven’t they? And we haven’t even seen Track and Field yet!!!
I get to pick up Gabe in 36 hours…not that I’m counting!!! π

The first time my oldest went to camp (6th grade camp), I was fine until I went to pick her up. When the first bus pulled into the parking lot, I started bawling. I was so relieved she was home. The kids were getting off the buses, and I wasn’t the only mom crying. The kids looked at us like we were nuts. π
I love watching the Olympics. My daughter has acquired a love for it too. It is so much fun chanting USA in the middle of our living room. What made me happy? When my daughter asked if I knew Gabby Douglas’s phone number so she could call and congratulate her.
LOVE!!!! That you had time to recharge, it was overdue π
