As I was taking a morning run around the campground, I saw two things that caught my eye. A gorgeous red barn and a beautiful river. The photographer in my knew we had to have a little photo session. I hadn’t packed anything terribly nice for the kids, but I didn’t care if they were in their bathing suits, we were taking pictures with this barn and the river. I bribed the kids with smores, found the nicest outfits we brought that sort of matched and headed around the campground for our little photoshoot.
Olivia and Matthew were not very cooperative…and neither was my assistant, Matt. But I still think they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. And I even managed to get a couple of the my dogs. They’re constantly moving so it’s hard to get a shot of them.
Do you ever have those moments where you look through the lens of your camera and realize that you are looking at IT? The epitome of your existence, your reason for breathing, the meaning of life?
Yeah, me too.
you just can’t go wrong with a red barn and a river! love it 🙂
It sounds like you guys had an amazing vacation, especially the whale watching part!! I’m lovin’ all of the photos! The ones by the red barn are amazing!
Sounds like something I would do – have a little photo shoot by the barn 🙂 The pictures turned out very nice! My favorite is the 7th picture (of Matthew) He is so stinkin cute!
The pics turned out great!
Great fun shots! Opportunity and luck meet at the right time.
Look at all those great smiles!
I love the photos! There really is something about a barn, isn’t there?!?! We took our Christmas photos last year by the barn at the corner of Mitchaw and Brint. It’s falling down and ragged but it has one red door and it just screamed for a photo session! Glad you got yours in 🙂
These are so beautiful! You’re a great photographer. However, you need to allow your assistant to take a photo of YOU every once in a while, too 🙂
Awesome photos! Glad you took the time to capture your beautiful family with the beautiful scenery.
