Being home sweet home. Even as great as vacation can be, there’s nothing quite like being home.
Even though it was hot as hades and 100+ degrees, getting to spend the day with Matthew at Cub Scout camp was pretty great. I will take those sideways glances and tuck them in my pocket forever.
A great eye doctor and pediatrician appointment with Olivia. Yeah for cooperation and no further tests!!!
A new workout regime that made me so sore I still walk funny. Yes, I’m weird, I love that feeling.
A day of doing nothing with Matt. The morning was busy and in the afternoon, we shucked all responsibility and watched Breaking Bad and napped.
A new car. After 10 years of driving a clunker minivan, I’m getting an awesome new car for a steal. I’m so excited. And I don’t even care about cars!!
We’re redoing our basement. Right now it’s more of a toy room. Soon it will be a cool teen hangout/second family room. EEEEKKK!!!
Matt folded and put away 3 tons of laundry while I was at camp with Matthew. Is there anything hotter?
Look at my tomato plants!!! YUM!!! I planted two little starts…went on vacation for two weeks…and came back to this!!! Oh the bruschetta, salsa and BLTS we’re going to have!!!
My basil. I’ve been trying for years to grow a giant basil plant and I finally am having luck. There is never enough basil. Ever!!
Looking out my window and seeing Olivia playing in the sand and singing songs. It makes my heart so happy.
Baseball’s over!!! Not that I didn’t love sitting through 2 hour games in 100+ degree heat…but…

Just catching up with your amazing vacation pictures & posts! It is great to hear about how it went, even when you say navigating some parts w/ Olivia was difficult – amazing, how much she COULD experience! You always inspire me to aim higher w/ J. … And we did have several things go much better than expected so far this summer.
