Now that it’s summer, I’m finding it surprisingly easy to find happy things. Tons and tons of happy things.
Olivia started day camp this week. According to the counselors, she cries and asks for me all day and doesn’t participate much in the activities. (Yet!) When I pick her up and ask “How was camp?”, she replies “GREAT!”. Go figure.
It makes me happy that I’m her favorite.
I’m really enjoying my 1 on 2 time with the boys. This week we went to an indoor playground/inflatable place with friends, signed up for summer reading club at the library, went go-karting, played baseball and basketball and had ice cream for lunch. I don’t remember why I felt guilty for sending Olivia to camp. The boys and I needed this.
Therapy makes me so happy. Did I tell you I’m in therapy? I have a wonderful counselor and I see her every other week. It’s been really amazing. I feel lucky to have found a good one.
Matt and I are going out on a date on Saturday. (Thanks, Mom!) It’s been a while and I’m really looking forward to it.
I had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory with friends last night. YUM!!!
I made all of our reservations for our 2-week vacation to Maine that we’re taking in July. I am so excited I could pee my pants. Seriously.
I am officially done with work today until August 1st. It feels so good to have that burden off my shoulders for 6 weeks!!! Fun and family time!

I am so jealous about Maine! Can’t wait to hear about that trip. So glad you are enjoying time with the boys. I love when I get time with one or two for a change. It is such a different dynamic. Enjoy your summer!

I just did a Happy This Week blog post- Next time I’ll have to use your button 🙂 I couldn’t do it this time since I was sneaking on the computer to write my post while the kids ate dinner (which left me very little time) 😉 Sounds like a great start to your summer!
