Feel free to grab my button and find your happy this week!

It wasn’t hard to find happy this week with it being the last week of school and all. Here’s what made me happy this week…

I surprised Matt for the first time since we met 18 years ago. I managed to pull off a surprise 40th birthday party for him at my house. He had no idea!! It was awesome.

I finished grading 200 exams and finalizing all of my grades for the semester. Phew!!

1 more week of work and then 6 weeks off!!!

Gabe got a little teary because he didn’t want to leave 4th grade because he loved his teacher so much. Now that’s a successful school year!

Matthew loves t-ball. Watching him be so excited about it makes me very happy.

Getting a picture from Olivia’s special ed teacher in the middle of the day. I love it when she does that. Olivia was playing in shaving cream with a big smile on her face.

It’s summer!!!

What made you happy this week??

  1. 200 exams! Amazing!! Time with cousins made me happy this week.

  2. My happy this week was that my son took a long road trip with his friends… without me or any other parent. For a mom with a son who I worried would never be able to do something like this on his own, it was huge. It gives me all sorts of hope that he will be okay, that he can be independent.

  3. Aw, the Gabe anecdote is too cute! I bet his teacher loved that.

Tara, I like yours, too – that is awesome!

Here’s mine: I paid the babysitter extra to clean the house (soooo worth it), read a great book (Pilot’s Wife by Anita Shreve – it’s not new, not sure how I missed it, it’s from the late nineties. Highly recommend!), and my son sat in the highchair at a restaurant for the first time ever and I got to eat my entire sandwich without a baby in my lap!!! πŸ™‚

  4. My happy was packing up for vacation!!! Looking forward to joining you this week πŸ™‚
