The kids, Matt and I had Easter weekend in common with our spring breaks. We decided to take off camping. We went to Mohican State Park near Columbus. It’s one of our favorite places in the whole wide world.
We love camping because there’s no housework, no laundry, just time to relax and enjoy things like…
The clear blue sky on a sunny day…
The river flowing right through the middle of the campground…
The plethora of rocks on the edge of the river just waiting to be skipped…even by Dads…
The site of your baby girl’s stroller tires all full of mud…which means she didn’t miss out on anything…
The brand new tennis shoes that came in the mail this week and were ready for a hike…
The beautiful gorge that looks so different in the spring than it does in the fall…
The fire tower that some little guy was much too little to climb last time…who’s now big enough to go all the way to the top…
A fire at night complete with s’mores…
And climbing…and throwing…and running…and hiking…and jumping…
And best of all…smiles. Lots and lots of laughs and smiles.
1.) i really like your hair like that w the red.
2.) love olivia’s new kicks! i want some for me!
looks like you guys had a great time!
Getting away with the fam, no laundry, cleaning, or work staring at ya – sounds like paradise!
I’m guessing great springtime weather and no bugs! Best time to camp, along with Indian Summer, imho. What kind of stroller do you have? I think we need something all-terrain like that…
There’s just nothing like being in the calm and quiet of the woods. It’s just so serene! Lovin’ the pics 🙂
What a great way to reconnect and relax. Loved all your wonderful photos.
