Olivia was really into Christmas this year. I think it’s because she’s….*gasp*….almost 11 years old. It was really fun to watch. Are you getting tired of me relishing all of these small, yet momentous, moments with me yet? I really hope not.
She was really excited about these cups. Matt and I found them at an antique store. They have a Disney character on each one and she loves them. We are so happy that she can now drink out of a regular cup!
She really loved our Elf, Buddy. The boys were getting really upset though because she kept touching him. So they made a special request to Santa that he bring her very own elf that she was allowed to touch. He delivered. We are now the proud family for Herbie the elf that Olivia can sleep with. That’s what she told Santa and anyone who would listen “I want an elf I can sleep with!”
Her brothers were over the moon when we found this big guy at Costco one day…and that Olivia was at horseback riding so we could buy it and keep it a surprise! We had a covert operation going on over at Grandma’s house to keep him hidden. The only bad part is that he’s pretty cumbersome to take around!
At my mother-in-law’s she opened the box to discover Tod from “The Fox and the Hound”. She screamed with total and utter excitement and joy. We were all laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. My sister-in-law was thrilled to finally get Olivia THE gift of the night.
At my Mom’s house, we were all in happy tears when she opened up her Disney Princesses. My Mom and I were really hoping she’d like them. She screamed and laughed and got so excited. It was all 10 princess barbies. What more could a girl ask for?
Olivia’s been working on jumping for so long now and she can finally do it. What better way to reward her than with her very own pink trampoline? My stepmom hit it out of the park with this one! It was in our family room for a while and now it’s in her bedroom. I love hearing the sound of her jumping coming from her room.
