SURPRISE!!!!!
Don’t you love surprising someone? I do. And I love to be surprised. How often in your life are you truly surprised? Not very often…which makes it so special! I received a lovely surprise 2 weeks ago when the SITS girls contacted me and told me that today was my special day.
SURPRISE!
I’m their featured blogger today. I’ve been waiting for over a year and can’t believe today is finally my day. I love SITS because that is how I found many of my favorite blogs…and some of my regular readers found me that way too. It’s a wonderful organization of over 10,000 women bloggers dedicated to supporting one another by leaving comments. How awesome is that? If you’re not a SITS girl yet, be sure to head over there and read more about it. You won’t be disappointed.
Now back to the surprise party! I’ve made chocolate martinis, a few tasty appetizers and cleaned the old toilet bowl in honor of today. I hope you feel welcome! Today also happens to be my 700th post. Who would have thought when I started this blog 700 posts ago that I would have so much to say. It started as a way to provide hope to other parents with children diagnosed with Cri du Chat syndrome; it has grown into so much more. I hope you’ll leave here inspired, seeing the glass half-full and with a smile on your face.

When you worry your child might not have ever have friends…and then you learn that she will have the best of friends…you must say thank you to those girls.
When you’re frustrated with feeling crappy about yourself all the time for no good reason…and you just want to let go…you must say “What If?” to yourself and the universe.
Finally, when you need to reflect upon what’s good in your life instead of what’s bad, you’ll see that It’s a Wonderful Life.

I loved reading your post “It’s a wonderful life”….it truly is, and so often so many forget to count their blessings, to reflect on all that’s right and true and lovely in this world. This was just the reminder for me, I’m expecting baby #3 due next week and I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old and I’ve been feeling so run down…but it’s posts like that which remind me of all I have to be thankful for each and every day….keep shining sweet bella, and happy SITS day to you

Happy SITS day, I recently found SITS and I need to join, I was perusing their site today and that’s how I found your blog and I am so very glad I did. My second born child, Emily, was born with Down Syndrome and she is definately the blessing I never imagined for myself but God knew I needed! I can totally relate to being an Elastimom, I am definately pulled in so many directions! I love your glass half full attitude, I have been accused of being a little too positive over things and it’s good to know someone else out there sees things the same way I do! I will be following along! I started a blog too when we found out Emily had Down Syndrome and I am now at a point where I might be able to invest some time into making it look more appealing and giving it a little more of my attention.
