Before you read any further, you must go back and read here. If you don’t, you won’t appreciate this post at all!!!

We’ve had that bike for almost 2 years now. (Seriously, time is FREAKING FLYING BY!) Olivia had no real interest in it. If we would make her ride it, she would for about 5 minutes. We would have to push her on it and really do a lot of encouraging to get her to ride it for even 2 or 3 minutes. After that amount of time she was done and really over it.

But then Matthew learned how to ride a bike last week. (Look for that post tomorrow!) And ever since then his big sister has been VERY interested in riding her bike. Every day. Asking for it!! It’s quite a change.

“Mom? Can I ride my bike now too?”

WHAT???? Yes, of course!!

Not only does she ask to ride it, she gets on it all by herself and GETS GOING ALL BY HERSELF!! This is huge!!! So far her farthest ride is 3 houses down. ALL. BY. HERSELF!! It’s unbelievable!!! And the best part? She LOVES it!!! It’s really such a huge milestone, I can’t believe it.

She does best when she’s chasing her brothers or when Gabe promises to buy her Reese’s peanut butter cups if she just goes one more driveway. They pretend they are Charlie from the “Charlie and Lola” books, and she’s Lola, and they’re playing chase. They talk in English accents (did I mention that’s her new thing? To talk in an English accent? My girl who wasn’t supposed to talk now does accents, I’ll have you know!) and she chases them down the sidewalk. It’s great.

I stand back, take pictures, and watch in amazement.

Life is good.

***Disclaimer***
I can get her to do almost anything if I let her wear her pjs and slippers! πŸ™‚
