One of my favorite gifts I got for Christmas this year was an external hard drive. I know, I’m a nerd. It’s a technobyte! It’s huge! I’ve been working on getting all of my pictures from 2001 on onto the drive and then organized. Holy cow that’s a big project. The first few months of Olivia’s life are still on negatives! I have to get those transferred over. The rest was on CDs (remember when you could get your pics on CD before we had digital cameras?) and so I had to transfer about 300 CDs worth of pictures. Oye. Anyway, it’s been really fun and sad at the same time. To see how fast the time is going makes me sad. But it’s always fun to look at old pics! I’ll be sharing a lot over the next few months, I’m sure.
She’s always been Daddy’s girl. And he’s always been so proud.
But sometimes even Daddy couldn’t make it better.
She’s always been a fashion diva.
When I see pictures like these, I remember how far she’s come. She’s about 4 or 5 months here and can barely lift her head!
My first baby, Riley, welcoming her new “sister”. It was seamless. She was so protective of her.
This picture reminds me how lucky we were that we avoided feeding tubes. She’s always loved food. We’ve had to be careful because she forgets to chew sometimes…but she’s always been able to eat!
She’s always been completely and totally head-over-heels in love with…water.
It’s been so fun looking back, especially to remind us of how far we’ve come.
P.S. Did you remember that I’m blogging at 5 Minutes for Special Needs on Mondays? Check it out!
Precious!
Look how young everyone is!!!!
Time does fly by, doesn’t it!
Wow. Thanks for sharing these! I also find going through old pics really difficult to do.
Olivia was such a pretty baby!!
OMG, she was as beautiful then as she is now!
Love the pictures of your Olivia. My Olivia has always loved food too and I’m so grateful that we were able to avoid feeding tubes.
And that picture of her barely holding her head up? Brings tears to my eyes. My O was bearly holding her head up at nine months old. I’m so with you on amazement at how far they’ve come.
Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful little baby. Those walks through our memories are so important to recognize the milestones that are constantly being achieved.
What a beautiful baby!! Love the fashion photo. That is seriously an awesome gift because it will store the most precious things that you cant recapture! Pictures are worth more then their weight in gold. I know it is such a huge project but good for you for doing it!!
I have some of those pictures of her! She’s grown so fast. It doesn’t seem like almost 10 years ago that she was that tiny! She’s come so very far. I love that in that last picture she looks just like Matt!
When you’re done with your project you wanna come organize my pics on my external hard drive?!?! lol!
