I work on the computer and I needed a break. I avoided the computer completely for the last two weeks. I just needed to be away. I hope you missed me. I missed you.
The holidays were fantastic. This was the first year that we actually had a bit of money and so Matt spoiled me rotten. It was really nice, I have to admit. I spoiled him too, don’t worry! The kids were super excited and were spoiled too…just the way it should be. I also got an unexpected treat in that Gabe still believes in Santa!! I thought for sure this year would be littered with questions about his existence…but no. He even left him a note on Christmas night and was ushering the other two to bed quickly so Santa could come. This definitely made me super happy.
Olivia’s big gift was her ipad. I’m going to do an entire post this week about how amazing it is. There are so many cool things it can do for her. And Angry Birds? Addicting. I get it now. She also got her Dance Star Mickey and he hasn’t left her side since. She’s been truly playing with her toys which is a wonderful accomplishment to see. She greeted everyone she saw with a “Merry Christmas!” that was as clear as a bell.
Gabe’s Christmas was technology and Lego-filled! He got an ipod touch which made him way less jealous of Olivia’s ipad. That’s a really cool gadget!! He also got Clue and we’ve been playing it non-stop. Did you play that as a kid? My sister and I played it non-stop. I love that game. He built Legos for 3 days straight. We now have a Lego city in our basement!
Matthew received lots of Legos too…but Gabe built them all!! He’s also been busy with his Wii and Dsi games. He got a shirt that says “I’m more of an indoor person” and it’s so true. He loves to be inside playing games and watching movies. I really have to bribe him to go out! Maybe it’s a fall baby thing. Who knows! He just loved the whole season. Going to visit family, opening presents and all the joy of it all.
We spent the last 2 weeks playing games, visiting family, going swimming, sledding and just being together. It was truly wonderful. I feel refreshed, rejuvenated and reconnected. It’s a great feeling!
What was your favorite holiday moment? I hope it was something magical!
Happy New Year!!
What a great Christmas! I am so glad you found some time to blog and share about it.
Happy New Year! I’m an indoor girl, so I can relate! Sounds like a wonderful holiday.
Sounds fantastic! I did miss you! We have to get together more this year – that’s my New Year’s resolution 🙂
Happy New Year! Glad you had a wonderful time.
I did miss you and was getting a little worried! So glad you are back and that you had a wonderful Christmas and time with your family!
I did miss you! Yet I am glad you were able to take a break and really enjoy your family!!
My favorite holiday memory was watching a football game and eating homemade hot wings with my husband–it was his birthday wish. : )
I did miss you! Glad you are back and that you enjoyed your break!
I did miss you! But I am so happy that you treated yourself to a break from the computer. I have been blogging less myself recently as I try to balance Real Life with Blogging Life!
I am thrilled that you had a great Christmas and that you got spoiled a little. You certainly deserved it!
Happy 2011! I am so glad to know you.
You were very missed! Sounds like you had a magical holiday! I am so very glad for you!
This was the first year that my kiddo actually got the concept. It was so much fun!
What a wonderful Christmas for you all – especially with Gabe’s heartfelt belief in Santa. Glad you had a fun-filled break – but also glad to see you back in Blog World!
What a fun Christmas! It seems like everyone got great gifts. Totally jealous about the iPad! Angry Birds…. who’s brilliant idea was that? My husband and I are addicted (via iPhone) as well. The concept seems ridiculous if you try to explain it. Merry (belated) Christmas!!!
PS loooove the kids PJ’s and Olivia’s hat!!!
I’m so glad you and Matt spoiled each other, too. You deserve it!
