You’re going to laugh at me for this one…maybe.
I’m an organizational nut. I like everything to have a place and for everything to be in its rightful place. With three kids it’s kind of a necessity to be organized! Our new house has a very large linen closet in the upstairs hallway. We barely had enough stuff to fill it! Slowly but surely over the winter months it filled up and was overflowing and totally unorganized.
Elastamom to the rescue!!
Here’s my tip for organizing your linen closet whether it’s big or small: take the fitted sheet, the flat sheet and the second pillowcase and put the folded items into the other pillowcase!! How genius is that? That way when it’s time to make beds, you just grab the pillow and go. No more searching through 4 bedrooms worth of pillowcases, fitted sheets and flat sheets to find the right one. I swear it takes up less space too. I get a smile on my face every time I go in there and grab my bed-in-a-case!!
Tell me, do you think I’m an OCD freak now or what?
From one OCD chick to another? I love it!
Great idea. If you’re a mom who changes the sheets on the beds. I’m not that mom. hee hee
I’ll think of you as Elastamom Martha from now on 🙂
Great idea! I’ll have to remember that whenever we buy a house that actually has a linen closet 🙂
Oh my gosh…GENIOUS! Although, I really don’t care half the time if my pillow cases match the sheets anymore. Mostly because I can never find the matching ones in our teeny tiny squishy linen closet. We also don’t use the top sheet either. DH hates sleeping under a top sheet, he has to be right under the comforter. Drives me crazy, but now I’m used to it and the kids are the same.
My organized closets always make me smile too! In fact, I have a small confession to make. After I’ve spent an afternoon organizing something, I later have to return back at that spot just to stare at it again, smile, and then go on my merrily way. 🙂
I do the same thing! I love it. I still hate fitted sheets though no matter how many how to videos I watch about folding them! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You had me at organizational nut. 🙂
LOVE IT
That is one of those ideas that is so perfect that I wish I had thought of it myself. Genius!
I read this a while ago and thought, cool. Then I did it and honestly, why haven’t I have thought or heard of this before? Love it!
