Today and Tomorrow’s topic over at Momalom is YES!!! And since it’s Tuesday that means it’s time for Tuesday Tunes here at Elastamom’s Excerpts. So…I’m giving you a list of songs that make me say “YES!” while I’m working out. They either pump me up when I’m lifting weights, get me going when I’m doing cardio, help me focus when I’m doing yoga or help me chill out when I’m stretching. Music is a MUST for me when I’m working out. It makes me work harder and revs me up. I’m always looking for awesome new songs for working out…and thought maybe you are too. This is definitely not an exhaustive list, just a lot of my favorites. If you have a few different favorites you’d like to add, leave it in the comments.

You need some Keith Urban!! He is our all time favorite. Just ask Gracie; She will show you how to dance when Keith is on!
Who wouldn’t Wanna Be Me (Gracie’s Favorite)
Days Go By
I Told You So
And so many others that I don’t have time to list!
I love Keith! I’ve just never thought of him in the “workout” mode! Thanks. 🙂
You’re so funny! You have such a wide range of music likes, EXACTLY like me! I have alot of those songs on my running playlist too. There’s lots that I don’t tho and I’m gonna have to add some since I’m getting bored of mine.
I’m the same way, I need music to get a good run in and it always seems like when the end of my run comes the “Walk It Out” song comes on. 🙂
Great tunes! And I had to giggle at your Beastie Boy pick “Fight for Your Right.” That song always makes me laugh. Party on!
Love the mix of artists here! Dixie Chicks, Cyndi Lauper, Black Eyed Peas: all are on my workout list, too. Now, if only I could find the time to actually work out … =>
OMG. All these songs! It makes me realize how long it’s been since I listened to music. I need to say YES to music in my life – somehow… (Kids always listen to music… where did it drop off the daily plate along the way for the parent???)
Holy Smokes, you take your music seriously I see. Awesome.
If I ever get back on to exercising I’ll have to listen to some of your recommendations!
🙂
Wow, this is a fantastic list!
(Maybe I will forward it on to my bad-music spin instructor.)
Great list! I might have to copy it into my ipod.
